Job summary

Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, AR is seeking a Medical Surgical RN for PRN day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM). The role reports to the Department Director or Manager and emphasizes patient-centered care using the nursing process within licensure scope.

Qualifications

• Current state or compact RN license required.
• Associate's degree from accredited nursing school required.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, Handle with Care preferred within one year of hire.
• One year of prior nursing experience preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties as assigned and requested.
• Completes focused patient assessments and reassessments based on patient condition, procedures, medications and treatments.
• Assesses and reassesses pain; utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
• Provides patient care and communicates with patients of all ages and with special needs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications and ensures correct administration following the six rights.
• Assists physicians with procedures and provides services requiring technical and manual skills.
• Performs treatments and delivers care within licensure scope.
• Ensures patient safety by delivering care in a low-error environment.
• Operates and manages equipment safely and correctly.
• Educates patients and families on disease processes and recovery expectations.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Education

Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN)

RN license
