Job summary

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is seeking a Medical Surgical Charge Nurse to provide clinical leadership and oversee daily unit operations. You will coordinate staffing, support staff, and serve as a clinical resource for the Medical Surgical team.

The role requires current RN licensure, prior Medical-Surgical experience, and strong assessment/critical-thinking skills. Leadership and communication abilities are essential to promote patient flow, safety, and high-quality care in a fast-paced

Qualifications

Must hold current RN licensure.
Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience required.
Demonstrated leadership and strong communication abilities.
Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily Medical Surgical unit operations to support patient-centered care.
Assign staffing resources based on patient acuity and census.
Mentor and serve as clinical resource for nursing staff.
Monitor patient safety, quality indicators, and compliance with standards of care.
Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans.
Support admissions, transfers, discharges, and throughput processes.
