Job summary

Mercy Health in Toledo, OH is seeking a Materials Handler in a collective bargaining unit role to maintain stock locations and inventory accuracy. You will assemble replenishment orders, deliver supplies and moveable equipment, and participate in cycle counts with a focus on safety and infection control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College coursework or experience preferred.
• Ability to perform data entry and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Ability to lift, move and deliver equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory and orderliness of assigned medical supply stock locations ensuring stocking locations are adequately stocked with supplies, kept clean and neat for access.
• Ensures stock is within expiration dates and rotates stock; monitors usage rates and notifies leadership when par levels are inadequate.
• Replenishes perpetual inventory locations; monitors expiration and stock levels; informs leader when inventory is insufficient.
• Retrieves, cleans, stores, and delivers moveable medical equipment and returns to ready-for-use staging.
• Participates in cycle counts and periodic inventories as directed by Supervisor.
• Reconstitutes critical care and specialty carts and trays ensuring expiration-dated contents.
• Transports equipment, supplies, specimens, and mail to various locations based on customer needs.
• Transports medical gases safely between storage locations and maintains gas inventories.
