Job summary

Family Care Center is seeking a Medical Supervisor to over­see clinic operations, supervise prescribing staff, and drive quality of care across multiple outpatient sites in Arizona. You will partner with the Clinic Director to maintain high standards and ensure regulatory compliance, while advancing patient outcomes.

The role requires a masters/doctorate in a relevant health field, active DEA, and licensure. A strong focus on leadership, staff development, and collaborative care is essential.

Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctoral level degree required (PA/NP/MD/DO).
  • Current DEA number required.
  • State/national professional registration or certification required.

Responsibilities

    • Annual Compensation: $140,000 - $154,000 annually (base salary plus bonus) depending on experience.Relocation bonus available.

Position Overview: The Medical Supervisor will assure the quality of services provided clinic to the service recipients, oversee the productivity of the prescribers, and recommend and implement changes that improve delivery of services. In partnership with the Clinic Director oversee the services provided to patients along with day-to-day operations of the clinic, drive a culture of positive impact and the FCC Way, and implement continual improvements in services within in the 5 Star clinic performance structure.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manages and develops an effective staff: providing effective communication, leadership, guidance, and resources according to organizational policies and applicable laws and regulations. Determines staff qualifications and competency:recruits, interviews, selects, hires, trains, orients, mentors, evaluates, coaches, counsels, disciplines, and rewards. Establishes and monitors staff safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Directs the daily operations of assigned unit(s) and schedules peer reviews and ensures adequate prescriber coverage is always maintained the clinic is open.
  • Ensures that practice guidelines and safe prescribing habits are consistent amongst the prescribers.
  • Responsible for quality assurance in medication management including maintaining standard of care and documentation.
  • Recommends changes to improve service delivery and implements changes and new programming.
  • Ensures at least 5 peer reviews per provider are completed each month.
  • Provides clinical expertise in crisis intervention, skills in working with the chronically mentally ill population, and with individuals and families undergoing acute episodes of psychiatric distress, skills in diagnosis and assessment. Familiarity with community support systems, health care and human service resources, court, and police activities, etc.

Supervisory or Managerial Responsibility:

  • Supervises prescribing staff in assigned clinic(s)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctorial level degree (PA, NP, MD, DO)
  • At least three years of professional experience in mental health or human services. Experience managing others preferred.
  • Current DEA number required
  • Appropriate professional registration/certification by state/national authority required.
