Position: Medical Staff/Credentialing Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for coordination and preparation of medical staff functions; prepares for various Medical Staff Meetings and maintains minutes. Responsible for maintaining files for the credentialing and recredentialing of practitioners and health professionals. Ensure data is maintained in the credentialing software. Communicates effectively with the Chiefs of the clinical departments and sections to assure compliance with Medical Staff by-laws and Rules and Regulations. Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and standards for the medical staff based on knowledge of the Joint Commission Standards, medical legal requirements, and bylaws. Participates in the on-boarding of new physicians to the Medical Staff. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence standards with all customer groups.
