Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX seeks a credentialing support specialist to assist the Chief Medical Officer and the Medical Staff Services Office with credentialing functions. You will help prepare and maintain files, reports, and provider rosters, and manage credentialing software for review by department leadership and the credentials committee.

Candidates should have strong PC software skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and database

• Prepare and maintain files and reports for all individual providers including maintenance of credentialing software, provider rosters and spreadsheets for Medical Staff leadership to review for presentation to the department chairman and credentials committee as well as attending medical staff meetings.

Education

• Two (2) years of college level courses are preferred

Training and Experience

• Significant background in PC software.
• Experience in a medical related field preferred.

Job Knowledge

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency in the use of computer applications is essential. i.e. Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
