Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$30.46 - $45.69 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Medical Social Worker

  • Location: Swedish Hospital, Chicago, IL

  • Hours: 8am-4:30pm - Mostly weekend coverage

  • Shift: Day shift

  • Part time/Full Time: Will consider 8 hours per week or 16 hours per week.

A Brief Summary:

  • Provides direct social work services and counseling to patients and families.Shall act in accordance with hospital and department philosophy, the NASW code of ethics, federal, state, and local laws, and other regulatory bodies such as HFAP.

What you will need:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of Social work

  • One year of social work experience in healthcare setting preferred.

  • Current credentials as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the State of Illinois required.

  • Credentials as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Illinois Preferred

  • Manages assigned caseload responsibilities

  • Ability to work with interdisciplinary personnel, patients and families.
