Downtown Boulder Partnership in Joint Base Lewis McChord is looking for a Standardized Patient for the SAMFE Program. This role involves participating in simulated medical examinations, performing consistently across 50 encounters annually.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to portray medical scenarios accurately. Training and orientation will be provided, ensuring high-quality performance and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Standardized Patient or in a related role is an advantage.
  • Willingness to undergo training and orientation to accurately simulate scenarios.
  • Comfortable with technology and simulation equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a simulated patient in medical forensic examination scenarios.
  • Conduct 15 simulated encounters per course iteration.
  • Participate in ten course iterations per year.

Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow scripted scenarios
Realistically portray emotions and medical conditions

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Some college coursework or higher education preferred
