The Medical Scribe plays a critical role in supporting providers by accurately transcribing patient encounters into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in real-time. This position ensures high-quality documentation that supports value-based care initiatives, including care coordination, preventive care, and chronic disease management. The role operates under defined guidelines and close supervision, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

The Medical Scribe contributes to administration of care management by ensuring uncompromised patient care by transcribing fast and accurately, as well as performing thorough editing. The Medical Scribe 1 works with Providers and transcription equipment including editing and correcting medical dictation performed by speech recognition software. Performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.

  • Ability to transcribe accurately and maintain a minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute

  • In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and jargon, as well as editing practice
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and meet legal requirements

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$38,000 - $45,800 per year
