Job Description

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking a part-time Medical Scribe to support physicians and accurately document patient encounters.

  • Specialize in charting physician-patient encounters in detail, with a specific knowledge and use of medical terminology.
  • Obtain accurate and detailed patient history.
  • Navigate Citrix Receiver and utilize PowerChart to communicate with patients and staff.
  • Utilize PowerChart for ordering proposals for ancillary testing and fulfilling prescription refill requests for patients.
  • Be compliant with infection control, basic sanitation/sterile protocol, and HIPAA.
Shift

Shift Type: Thursday afternoons and Friday availability 8:30 am – 2 pm.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge or abilities can be acquired is necessary.

Six (6) months experience as a Medical Scribe or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Hiring Range: $14.00 - $21.18/hour

Grade: PAT-3A
