General Summary

Assists providers by documenting patient encounters during exams exactly as verbalized.

Responsibilities

• Accompany providers into examination rooms to document encounters.
• Record diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions as indicated.
• Transcribe patient orders, including tests and medications.
• Document procedures performed by providers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of relevant experience. Professional licensure/certification may substitute for education/experience.
