Job Overview

A Medical Scribe is responsible for relieving physicians of clerical duties, allowing them to focus on patient care. Responsibilities include obtaining patient medical histories, documenting notes during visits on the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and facilitating diagnostic tests, all while providing excellent customer service.

Essential Functions
  • Manage multiple patients per hour efficiently.
  • Maintain a quick pace in a fast-paced medical environment.
  • Provide compassionate patient care.
  • Assist with basic patient care and clerical duties, including documenting on EMR and facilitating tests.
  • Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians under physician guidance.
  • Maintain a clean, professional environment.
  • Assist in training new hire scribes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese required.
  • Computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 45 wpm.
  • Passion for helping others.
