The Medical Scribe 1 contributes to administration of care management by ensuring uncompromised patient care by transcribing fast and accurately, as well as performing thorough editing. The Medical Scribe 1 works with Providers and transcription equipment including editing and correcting medical dictation performed by speech recognition software. Performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.
1+ years of experience as a Medical Scribe/Transcriptionist, or similar, such as provider documentation/notes and medical charting
EMR Experience preferred
Proficiency in Electronic Health Record systems
Ability to transcribe accurately and maintain a minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute
Experience with specialized transcription equipment and voice recognition software
In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and jargon, as well as editing practice
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and meet legal requirements
Exceptional written communication skills and knowledge of medical record formats
Willing to travel to nearby clinics to help when needed

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
