Job summary

The Orthopaedic Institute is seeking a Medical Scribe to support physicians by documenting visits, histories, exams, and procedures in real time. You will assist with patient communications, referrals, and chart accuracy in a busy orthopedic practice.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of scribe experience preferred; CCMA/CNA and CPR are a plus. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and adherence to privacy standards.

Responsibilities

• Document medical visits and procedures as performed by the physician.
• Record patient history and physical exam, procedures and treatments.

• Coordinate referrals and contact information as directed.
• Proofread and edit physician documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in quality reporting and data tracking for follow-up.
• Attend trainings on IT, HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
