Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, computer-savvy Medical Scribe to join our Axis Spine team!
Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, the Medical Scribe is responsible for documenting and transcribing dictations into the Meditech EHR, partnering with physicians to ensure complete and accurate capture of medical information as spoken or instructed verbatim. The scribe accompanies physicians into patient exam areas to document encounters as described by the physician. Responsibilities include transcribing dictations for medical reports such as patient histories, physical examinations, emergency room visits, operations, chart reviews, consultations, and discharge summaries. The scribe reviews and edits reports for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology. Maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance, the scribe upholds patient confidentiality in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
