Job summary

CareNow, affiliated with HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Scribe to document patient visits in real time and support provider efficiency in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will enter orders into the EMR with precision, document telephone encounters, and ensure accurate reflection of clinical findings and E/M levels under provider direction.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting with proficiency in medical terminology.
  • Strong typing, documentation, and computer skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree, completion of Anatomy & Physiology coursework, Medical Scribe certification, Medical Coding certification, or prior urgent care experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Document patient visits in real time by accurately capturing medical histories, physical exam findings, procedures, diagnoses, and treatment plans as dictated by the provider.
  • Support provider efficiency by entering orders into the electronic medical record (EMR) exactly as instructed and ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Create and document telephone encounters and other patient communications under the direction of the provider.
  • Ensure medical documentation accurately reflects the provider's clinical findings and selected evaluation and management (E&M) level.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and advanced practice providers, escalating clinical questions or documentation concerns promptly for clarification.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential electronic medical records while supporting efficient clinic workflow.

You Should Have:
