Job summary

ScribeAmerica is hiring Medical Scribes to support physicians in outpatient settings. Gain hands-on experience documenting patient visits and learning with our training program. We offer full-time and part-time roles, with opportunities for growth and a strong training track.

We provide paid training through Scribe University, mentorship and real clinical exposure. Eligible candidates must be 18+, fluent in English, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to meet vaccination requirements if applicable.
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with doctors during patient visits to document everything.
• Record patient history, exams and treatments.
• Use electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Review and track lab and test results.
• Follow HIPAA and other rules to keep records secure.
• Keep patient charts up to date and accurate.
• Send and organize documents for doctor review.
• Support the healthcare team with lab tracking and follow-ups.

Schedule

We are currently seeking both part-time (2-3 shifts/week) and full-time (3-4 shifts/week) team members who will work Monday - Friday from 7:30AM - 5:00PM, working in an Outpatient setting.

Compensation range: Our compensation for this position is $17.00, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Proof of vaccinations (may be required)
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Strong listening and communication skills
• Flexible schedule availability
• Ability to stand, sit, and use a computer for several hours a day
• Access to a laptop (you’ll be provided one after training but need your own for training)
