Job summary

PhysAssist Scribes in Lafayette, IN is seeking candidates to join our medical scribe team. You will work in emergency departments, assisting physicians by documenting patient history, exams, and follow-up plans.

You’ll gain exposure to medical terminology, diagnoses, and clinical workflows while supporting physicians throughout shifts. Experience as EMTs, CNAs, or in phlebotomy, and physician shadowing are considered pluses.

Qualifications

• EMT, CNA, or phlebotomy exposure is a plus.
• Experience shadowing physicians is beneficial.
• Familiar with medical terminology and patient documentation.

Responsibilities

• Work side by side with physicians during patient visits.
• Document patient history accurately.
• Document the physical exam findings.
• Prepare follow-up care plans for patients.
• Enter imaging, lab, and diagnostic results into the system.

We are currently looking for candidates, who are interested in gaining medical experience, to join our team at PhysAssist Scribes in Lafayette, IN. Our scribes work in the emergency departments in Lafayette and surrounding areas.

As a medical scribe you will do the following:

• - Work side by side physicians as they see patients
• - Document the patient history
• - Document the physical exam
• - Prepare plans for follow up care
• - Enter x-ray, lab, and diagnostic test results

EMT, Medical Research Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Physician Shadowing, and Phlebotomist experience a plus!
