The Opportunity

Responsible for greeting donors at the plasma collection center and conducting registration procedures to verify donor suitability for plasma pheresis.

The Role

• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process, including health history assessment, medical questions, and health screening procedures like blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature, and finger stick for hematocrit and protein levels.
• Educate new donors about plasma products, screening, appointment system, donation fees, policies, nutrition, and answer donor questions.
• Register and transfer donors as needed after training.
• Answer phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Monitor donors during and after donation for reactions and notify staff if needed.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic system.
• Follow policies related to hyper immune programs if applicable.
• Maintain a clean environment and ensure supplies are available.
• Adhere to HSE and OSHA policies, promoting safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of all center information.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Skills and Experience

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 3 months in clerical or customer service role, preferably in medical/health environment. Basic math skills required.

Working Conditions

• Follow instructions and guidelines.
• Ability to see, speak with customers, and observe equipment.
• Stand and walk up to 100% of the time, reach, bend, kneel, manual dexterity.
• Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
