Are you energized by leadership, education, and the development of partnerships with key External Experts and Professional Bodies? If so, this Field Based Medical Science Liaison role could be an ideal opportunity to explore.

As a Field Based Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will be responsible for executing the external engagement strategy aligned with the therapeutic portfolio, as well as implementing the external engagement plan in line with Therapy area strategies, ensuring a consistent approach to field activities. Must currently reside within the MN, WI, ND, SD, IA territory.

  • Collaborate with medical colleagues and partners to identify External Experts, professional groups, decision makers, and other stakeholders in the assigned therapy area or geography.
  • Respond compliantly to unsolicited information requests from healthcare professionals regarding GSK medicines and indications; ensure all responses are factual, fair, balanced, scientifically rigorous, and comply with GSK standards, policies, local codes, and laws.
  • Disseminate safety information and conduct scientific exchanges to inform and educate HCPs on GSK medicines, including delivering presentations upon unsolicited requests.
  • Maintain expertise in the scientific and therapeutic areas, including competitor medicines and vaccines.
  • Participate in regional account planning and training sessions, and attend scientific/medical meetings to gather insights on recent data and disease states.
  • Support clinical development activities, including GSK and investigator-sponsored studies, and collaborate with R&D staff on research projects.
  • Engage with clinical research investigators and advisory boards on research topics.
  • Provide scientific training for GSK sales reps and HCPs, including speaker training events.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, market access) to align strategies and add value to external experts.
Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • PharmD, PhD, DNP, or MD with a clinical focus.
  • At least 2 years' experience in pharmacology and pharmacotherapy in a clinical setting.
  • Residency within the specified territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-doctoral training in a clinical or pharmaceutical practice setting.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or medical liaison roles, especially in relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Previous clinical decision-making experience, such as direct patient care or treatment protocol development.
  • Strong computer literacy and experience with relevant software.
