Medical Science Liaison - Oncology, Southern California Region

US Remote

Position Summary:
The Medical Science Liaison – Oncology serves as a pivotal, field-based scientific resource, engaging clinicians, academic institutions, and professional organizations to support Natera’s oncology products. The .MSL facilitates the exchange of scientific information, builds key relationships, and drives awareness of Natera’s evolving portfolio.

Territory: Southern California

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver scientific and clinical presentations on data supporting Natera’s Oncology products.
  • Address customer needs by providing targeted responses and presentations about developing pipeline products.
  • Act as a scientific and medical resource for Natera’s Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Establish, maintain, and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in Breast, Gynecological Oncology, or Hematology as it relates to Signatera.
  • Collaborate with lab operations to provide additional healthcare provider information regarding Natera products.
  • Represent Natera at scientific and clinical congresses.
  • Engage in ongoing learning to maintain expertise in scientific and clinical areas.
  • Contribute medical expertise to the creation and review of healthcare provider materials, communication tools, and publications to ensure accuracy.
  • Support and coordinate clinical trial and research initiatives at academic institutions and study sites.
  • Travel extensively (over 60%) as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced healthcare or scientific degree preferred.
  • Previous MSL experience preferred

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based with frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Daily computer use required, with occasional extended standing periods during meetings or facility tours.
  • Requires working with PHI (Protected Health Information) in paper and electronic formats.
  • Completes HIPAA/PHI privacy, compliance, and security training within 30 days of hire and maintains current status on Natera training requirements.

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
