Job summary

Ironwood Pharmaceuticals is offering a two-year Medical Scientific Affairs fellowship based in Boston, in partnership with Northeastern University. The fellow will gain exposure to medical strategy, publications, and field medical affairs while collaborating across functions such as clinical development, regulatory, and data sciences.

The program emphasizes teaching, service, and scholarly activities, with opportunities to precept PharmD students and engage with external partners and vendors.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from ACPE-accredited institution.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative on multiple projects.
• Willingness to relocate to Boston before July 1, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and maintenance of MSA strategic plans.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to provide medical strategy content.
• Develop evidence-based medical content for symposia and training materials.
• Provide training on disease states and products to fellows.
• Participate in scientific congresses and KOL engagements.
• Precept PharmD students during co-ops and IPPE/APPE rotations.
