Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of medical office experience preferred.
• Proficient knowledge in medical terminology.
• Above average spelling and typing skills.
• Proficient computer software and database skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Experience collaborating across multiple functions.
• Read, write, speak and understand English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, change, and update patient appointments.
• Verify patient eligibility and collect co-pays/deductibles.
• Contact insurance carriers to verify benefits and requirements.
• Obtain pre-authorization from insurers within required timeframes.
• Process insurance authorizations and update patient records.
