What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Schedule patient appointments according to established protocols and guidelines
- Answer telephone calls promptly and professionally, providing exemplary customer service
- Obtain and enter accurate demographic information into the electronic health record system
- Review and confirm appointment details including date, time, location, and insurance status
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and perform other duties as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a call center environment or medical/dental office setting
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent data entry skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- College, vocational/technical training, or certification preferred
- Knowledge of electronic health records software or equivalent preferred
- Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Creole preferred
- Familiarity with medical and dental terminology preferred
