Job summary

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, seeks an Engineer-Medical Safety to join its Electrical team in Boxborough, Massachusetts. The role involves independent testing and evaluation of medical devices to US, Canadian, and international standards, plus report writing and client communication.

You will operate standard test equipment, develop test plans, and convey project status to clients and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required or considered.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize and organize workload.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is expected.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license and willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct on- and off-site evaluation of products for compliance with standards.
• Read and interpret applicable national codes and standards for the EUT.
• Provide information for quotes including project length, site needs, and samples.
• Set up and operate standard test equipment and fixtures.
• Develop and follow established test plans and perform testing per standards.
• Communicate project status and results to clients, sales, and management.
• Provide ongoing client support as needed.
