Job summary

WMH Alzheimer’s Support Group is seeking a Medical Records Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the Medical Record Department. You will supervise staff, ensure accurate coding and abstracting of outpatient records, and perform chart audits to support quality and compliance.

Ideal candidates communicate effectively, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail. Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding are preferred, along with MS

Qualifications

• Requires effective communication and good organizational skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with medical terminology, anatomy and physiology required.
• Experience in ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding desired; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates daily functions of Medical Record Department staff.
• Responsible for coding and abstracting of outpatient records.
• Performs chart audits and other duties as directed by Manager, Medical Record department.
