The role is part-time with an expectation of 20 hours a week at a rate between 16.00-18.50/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the process of obtaining medical records for patients transferring care into our practice, including reviewing for completeness and following up with patients and providers as necessary
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and protection of patient health information (PHI)
  • Handle external medical record requests, including obtaining required release forms from patient, sending records in a timely manner, and documenting fulfillment of the request
  • Upload and map external medical records into our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system quickly and accurately when received
  • Route inbound faxed records and documents for processing as needed

About You:

  • Passionate about improving maternity care through a combination of clinical care, technology, patient empowerment and education
  • Ruthlessly organized and detail-oriented in your daily tasks
  • Committed to providing outstanding service in the maternal healthcare space
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with both internal and external stakeholders

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 1-2 years of experience working with Electronic Medical Records
  • Prior experience working with Athena and/or prenatal care medical records a plus
  • Spanish or other non-English language proficiency a plus
  • Data entry speed of 40 keystrokes per minute required
