Intake Specialist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $17/Hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Intake Specialist Highlights
- Regular Schedule: Full Time | Monday-Friday| 9:00a-5:00p EST
- REMOTE
Essential Responsibilities and Functions:
- Primary responsibility is conducting outreach phone calls to provider offices/copy services for the successful and timely acquisition of patient medical records; on behalf of the health plan clients for their validation
- reviews and audits. Performance will be measured and scored on a weekly basis, to ensure achievement of expected daily call volumes, professional business-to-business conduct, and desired call outcomes of timely medical record retrieval.
- Managing confidential information in accordance with Organizations PHI policies for handling medical records and supporting documentation (printing is prohibited and all computer usage is monitored for security compliance and productivity purposes)
- Diligent and thorough follow-up on medical record requests, as required
- Digitizing paper-based medical records into computer and call outcome retention and quality data entry (based no need - onsite required, in accordance with current CDC protocols)
- Appropriate and concise communication with other staff members (including Client Support Specialists) through escalation processes, who may aid in the retrieval of targeted medical records.
Intake Specialist Requirements
- Requires private, secure, and dedicated work-from-home environment; with no background noise and/or distraction.
- High-speed Internet Access– no reimbursement provided for service, connectivity will need to be self-managed and maintained.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Outlook, RightFax, Windows Explorer, Notepad, and Microsoft Teams (video required for mandatory daily huddles).
- Excellent computer knowledge and skills; with ability to navigate and perform data entry within company call center platforms (proprietary and Genesys cloud).
- Excellent phone and business-to-business communication skills.
- Ability to set and reach daily call goals, work independently and productively within a remote work-from-home environment.
