Job summary

Mission Healthcare in San Diego, CA is seeking a skilled Records Specialist to support clinical processing and billing across our home health and hospice operations. You will manage medical records via email, fax, and phone, troubleshoot EMR issues, and build best-practice processes while maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a Home Health or Hospice setting.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience using HCHB to perform operations relating to the Home Health and Hospice Business model.
  • Understanding HIPAA compliance rules and regulations.
  • Understanding CMS guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to explain complex and/or confidential information and communicate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team.
