Job summary

Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring a full-time Medical Records Clerk in Lowell. The role supports the nursing department by organizing patient records and maintaining files with precision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, plus at least 1 year of clerical experience preferred; training in medical terminology and record procedures is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of clerical experience is preferred; on-the-job training is provided in medical work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and organized nursing files, records, and nursing policy books.
• Maintain all regulatory-required logs and records.
• Coordinate and manage accurate and complete active and discharge medical records on file.
• Complete discharge medical records timely and accurately, ensuring physician signatures where required.
• Review all requests for medical records with the Director of Nurses and/or Administrator.
