Job summary

Southern HealthCare Management in Florida seeks a dedicated Medical Records professional to oversee records for a long-term care and short-term rehabilitation nursing center.

You will prepare charts for admissions, close records at discharge, maintain physician orders, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Prior LTC/Skilled Nursing experience is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and proficiency with Windows and database programs are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience reading and interpreting medical terminology required.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Windows, Computer-Based Programs and Internet-Based Applications required.
• Prior experience in Medical Records or related healthcare support position in a LTC / Skilled-Nursing experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Record keeping and medical records management for a long-term care and short-term rehabilitation / sub-acute care nursing center.
• Prepare charts for new admissions, close medical records upon discharge, maintain physician’s orders and visit schedules, and audit to ensure records management meets center’s policies and procedures, professional standards, and state and federal laws and regulations for long-term care facilities.
