Per Diem (On-Call) including weekends and holidays

Verifies all dictation is received from outside transcribing services. Coordinates the transcription of necessary documents and processes them appropriately.

Job Responsibilities

1. Ensures all dictated physicians' medical reports are received from outside transcription service.
2. Answers telephone calls from physicians requesting rush transcription and checks the Digital Transcription System to locate STAT dictation.
3. Generates all transcribed reports received from outside transcription company.
4. Organizes and sorts transcribed reports according to type and processes.
5. Verifies which reports are associated with in-house patients. Obtains room number and files report accordingly.
6. Files dictated reports of discharged patients in the correct chart and appropriate order.
7. Performs related duties as required.
