The role emphasizes organizing records, preparing reports, scheduling, and contributing to quality improvement. Training in an accredited medical record program or 1+ year experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Training in an accredited medical record program or 1+ year experience in a medical record system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of all medical records information and process release forms when needed.
• Keep medical records filing up-to-date and perform clerical tasks such as reports, answering phones, and filing.
• Schedule inmates for medical appointments and assist in preparing periodic reports.
• Participate in quality audits to support Quality Improvement standards.
• Ensure health records are organized, secure, and accessible to authorized personnel.
