Responsibilities

  • Maintain medical records filing systems following established procedures in a correctional healthcare setting
  • Ensure all medical records are complete and properly filed
  • Receive, log, and process requests for patient medical information according to departmental protocols on release of information
  • Retrieve medical records for clinical and ancillary services
  • Fax medical information to approved sites and sources for continuing care
  • Purge medical records, make new patient folders, and prepare mailings as required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of medical records experience
  • Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
