Job summary

Walter Reed Post Acute is seeking a Medical Records/Central Supply Clerk to support health information management and supply operations. This full-time role offers daily pay and an all-inclusive hourly rate of $20-$23, with emphasis on HIPAA-compliant records handling and efficient supply coordination.

You will manage medical records, assist with EMR documentation, and help maintain inventory levels to support resident care delivery in a compassionate, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of related healthcare experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Ability to manage lifting and organizing inventory.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry skills.
• Excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff.
• Willingness to learn EMR systems and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage resident health information to ensure records are accurate and compliant.
• Create and maintain medical records for new admissions.
• Maintain organized open records in paper and electronic formats.
• Audit records for compliance and timeliness.
• Upload and maintain documentation in the EMR system.
• Process medical record requests per policies and confidentiality.
• Maintain closed records per retention guidelines.
• Respond to inquiries regarding medical records promptly.
• Assist with central supply operations and inventory par levels.
• Support ordering, stocking, and organization of central supply areas.
