We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our private optometry practice team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support in a medical setting, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive health information with confidentiality.

Responsibilities
  1. Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
  2. Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
  3. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
  4. Process patient payments and maintain accurate financial records.
  5. Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
  6. Maintain patient files and health information management systems with accuracy.
  7. Support other administrative tasks as needed, including filing and data entry.
Skills
  1. Proven experience as a medical receptionist in an eyecare setting is preferred.
  2. Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and health information management practices is a plus.
  3. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
  4. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
