Medical Receptionist TRI Ortho Williamsville

Salary: $16.26 - $24.40 USD

Facility: Trinity Ortho Williamsville

Shift: Shift 1, Days, 7am - 4pm

Status: Full Time, FTE: 1.07

Bargaining Unit: Trinity Medical

Overtime: Exempt: No

Work Schedule: Days

The Medical Receptionist reports to the office manager or practice administrator and is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling, bookkeeping, answering calls, accepting payments, and maintaining patient accounts. The role may involve taking direction from a team lead.

Responsibilities

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • Preferred one (1) year experience in a healthcare setting involving clerical, office, patient accounting, and reception duties

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong customer service and telephone skills
  • Knowledge of medical insurance, HMO, and healthcare topics
  • Knowledge of medical procedures and terminology, including ICD-10 and CPT coding
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including keyboarding, Microsoft Word, and email
  • Patient-focused attitude and organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and remain calm under pressure
  • Basic mathematical and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Motivated to contribute to departmental improvement
  • Knowledge of Patient-Centered Medical Home, MIPS, HEDIS (preferred for Primary Care)
Working Conditions

Ability to travel to other Trinity Medical facilities; typical office environment with occasional physical discomforts.
