Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a customer-focused Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients, both in person and by phone. The role supports efficient office operations and exceptional patient care while helping patients access needed services within the office.

Responsibilities include checking in patients, verifying registrations and insurance, scheduling, answering inquiries, collecting payments, and assisting with MyChart.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in medical office or customer service preferred.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Serves as a first point of contact for external customers in the office and on the phone, as well as a liaison between external customers and medical staff. Greets, instructs and assists customers in obtaining needed services within the office and IHA. Obtains and communicates necessary patient and office visit information to billing staff and facilitates efficient patient flow through the office and appropriate billing for services.

General Requirements:

• EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED or between the ages of 15-17 with a valid work permit from their high school. Course work in insurance/billing, medical practice education or seminars are preferred, but not required.
• CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: None
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years of experience in a medical or physician office or customer service environment preferred.
