Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI is seeking a MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST to join our team!

Duties Include:

1. Provides leadership and direction to the reception team.
2. Responsible for completing staff schedules and timekeeping in a timely manner. Adjust staffing based on clinic needs, volumes, and staff requests.
3. Provides instruction to staff regarding software changes, operational processes, and EMR usage.
4. Assists in providing direction, coaching, and delegation of tasks to patient access team staff.
5. Assesses performance of receptionists, evaluates quality of service, and plans performance improvement activities.
6. Greets, registers, and assists patients professionally.
7. Schedules patient appointments efficiently according to established policies and procedures.
8. Obtains and maintains accurate registration records.
9. Answers all phone calls, provides routine information, and transfers calls courteously and professionally.

HOURS:

This position is full-time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period.

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, multi-specialty clinic, satellite clinic in Wisconsin, surgical and walk-in clinics, and a home health agency. The service area covers approximately 30,000 people. The hospital features a 4-bed ICU, 3-bed OB unit, 4 surgical units, and a 24/7 emergency department with about 12,000 visits annually. The inpatient census averages 10 patients per day, and the outpatient clinic sees over 50,000 visits annually.
