Job description

Park Nicollet is hiring a Medical Receptionist I to join our Foot and Ankle team! Join us as a Partner for Good and help improve the care and experience for our patients and their families.

Position Summary:

Call Center: Handles incoming calls in a call center environment, maintaining at least 93% availability, and follows department guidelines and processes.

Front Desk: Greets patients, collects co-pays, schedules appointments and referrals, and supports clerical duties.

Supports the department/site by providing quality, courteous service to patients.

Work Schedule:

Full-time 1.0 FTE, Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Hours may vary depending on assignment, e.g., 7:30am-4pm.

Required Qualifications:

6 months related experience.

Accurate computer and keyboarding skills.

Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles for patient safety and service.

Proficiency with telephone, headsets, PC, printer, copier, and fax machine.

Preferred Qualifications:

Some medical background preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent human relations, customer service, listening, and telephone etiquette skills.

Knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.

Comfort in collecting copays and race collection.

Ability to maintain good patient relations and confidentiality.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, structured environment.

Ability to sit and key for long periods.
