FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Monday - Friday

Position Summary

The Medical Receptionist is the first in-person point of contact for patients on behalf of the medical practice. Responsibilities include greeting patients, answering phones, directing calls, assisting patients and families, scheduling, registration, charge entry, payment posting, batch balancing, cash reconciliation, and operating basic office equipment. This is an intermediate position requiring excellent customer service skills, discretion, good judgment, professionalism, and a clear phone voice. Internal and external contacts include patients, families, co-workers, physicians, and the public.

Requirements
  • Post-high school office procedures preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year of clerical and/or receptionist experience; or six (6) months in a medical setting
  • Customer service experience
  • Degree or relevant certification (e.g., Medical Office Assistant, Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator) may substitute for experience

Pay and Benefits
