A leading healthcare provider in Phoenix is seeking a Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients. This role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and ensuring a positive customer service experience. The ideal candidate will have basic computer skills and a high school diploma, with previous medical office experience preferred. **Responsibilities**
The Medical Receptionist is the first point of service for our patients and is responsible for greeting, registering, and scheduling patient appointments. They verify insurance eligibility and benefits, collect co-payments, and obtain routine financial information to facilitate payment plans and Medicare coverage. The role includes answering phones and providing information to patients in the waiting area. The receptionist may also obtain complex financial information, secure prior authorizations for visits or tests, and enter charge data as needed. Additional duties may be assigned.
+ Perform clerical duties such as maintaining deposit logs, preparing schedules and reports, and managing provider schedules.
+ Ensure a positive customer service environment and interactions in reception areas.
+ Answer incoming calls politely and helpfully.
+ Coordinate patient movement and report any irregularities or problems.
+ Possess working knowledge of multi-line phones, computers, fax, and copy machines.
+ Prepare registration documents and verify the accuracy of patient information.
+ Complete full patient registration in IDX for new patients, ensuring all information is current and accurate, and verify insurance details.
+ Provide support services to patients and medical staff.
+ Comply with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and records.
+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and physicians.
+ Sort and file materials efficiently.
+ Obtain authorizations for office visits.

**Qualifications**
**Minimum**
Basic computer skills required.
**Preferred**
High School Diploma or GED, previous medical office or insurance experience, and bilingual skills.

**Pay Range**
$18.00 - $20.38 per hour.
