Essential Functions
- Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately
- Check patient into the electronic medical record
- Ensure patient packet questionnaire is complete; if not, assist patient in completing it
- Address patients’ questions or needs
- Review M.D. visit orders to manage and expedite ordered care (e.g., referrals, follow‑up visits, DME orders, test orders and medication orders)
- Print paperwork for patient education and/or test instructions
- Check patient out of the electronic medical record at completion of visit
- Support goals of department/organization
- Work as a team player by enhancing team effectiveness, supporting, and assisting team members, the department and/or the organization
Other Functions
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
- Comply with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)
- Experience: One (1) year healthcare experience (preferred)
- Job Competency: Strong customer service and communication skills; must understand and be able to perform professional phone etiquette
- Language Ability: Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems
- Computer Skills: Must be proficient with basic computer skills
