Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Practice Manager of Shared Specialty Suites, the Medical Receptionist performs a variety of administrative responsibilities and provides support to the physicians in the Shared Specialty Suites.

Minimum Qualifications

* Education

o High School Diploma or equivalent required.

* Experience

o One to three years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a Medical Office preferred.

* Licensure and/or Certification

o Graduation from a Medical Assistant or Secretary program preferred.

* Skills

o Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and moderate keyboarding skills required. Knowledge of GE Centricity for electronic medical records preferred.

o Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task required.

o Familiarity with medical terminology and knowledge of patient billing, account processes, third-party billing, and revenue cycle management preferred.

o Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

o Excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain confidentiality required.
