Pay

Base Wage starting at $15.15; increased based on experience

Essential Functions
  • Schedules patient appointments to ensure good access to care for patients with proper patient/therapist case mix.
  • Collects and processes copays and payments for services offered at Nevada Regional Medical Center.
  • Registers patients verifying appropriate demographic and insurance information.
  • Maintains clean and welcoming reception and waiting area.
  • Processes paperwork and clinical documentation in a timely and efficient manner so that communication between physicians and clinic assures safe and effective delivery of care.
  • Checks insurance authorization for treatment and communicates benefits to patients and staff.
  • Assures and confirms billing accuracy and works with coding/medical records to supply necessary records including copying, scanning, filing.
  • Maintains excellent working relationships with business office peers, clinicians and various referral source offices.
  • Demonstrates a high level of customer service when working directly with patients, physicians and medical departments.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator, and other office equipment as needed.
  • Works in a fast paced medical office environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize workload.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
  • Ability to complete competency for CPR/First Aid.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical equations.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of operation of phone, copier, fax and printer.

Working Conditions

  • Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.
Physical Demands
  • Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per day.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
  • CPR Certification within 6 months of hire and kept current.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must adhere to NRMC appearance and attire policy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Computer experience preferred.
