ProHealth Physicians is hiring a Medical Receptionist in a full-time role. The position is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm, with potential to float to nearby practices for coverage.

You will greet patients, manage check-in, and coordinate with clinicians and staff to provide excellent patient care. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience.
  • Experience with an electronic health record (EHR) preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Office admin/reception/clerical experience in a medical environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and triage appointment requests per ProHealth's guidelines.
  • Use the EHR to take messages and communicate with clinicians.
  • Greet patients and conduct check-in.
  • Monitor reminder call logs and reschedule as needed.
  • Scan and index documents into the EHR; prep records for visits.
  • Support coworkers to ensure smooth office operation and excellent service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

ProHealth Physicians has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detail oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5 pm. May be asked to float to local practices in the region for coverage.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and triage appointment requests for urgency according to approved protocols consistent with ProHealth's Appointment and Scheduling Guidelines. Consult a medical assistant or licensed clinician for clinical decision making whenever necessary
  • Use call processing and other applicable functionality in the EHR to take messages and communicate with clinicians
  • Greet patients and conduct check-in process
  • Monitor daily reminder call logs to reschedule appointments as needed
  • Scan and index documents into the EHR; ensure that necessary documents, lab results, etc. are available in advance of patient visits
  • Assist coworkers as needed to ensure smooth office operation and delivery of excellent service through teamwork
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 + years of customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with an electronic health record
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Office Administrative / Receptionist / Clerical experience in a medical environment
Soft Skills:
  • Ability to multitask
  • Able to manage difficult situations with patient care

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
