Job description

Candidates with interest and passion in exploring the opportunity in healthcare has the opportunity to apply for the position of Medical Receptionist.

You would be the first point of contact for patients who is:
  • Proficient in Communication and can handle the diversity of patients.
  • Multi tasking.
  • Skilled at making patients feel comfortable.
  • Knowledge of handling insurance and co-pay.
  • Comfortable in the EMR System.
  • Comfortable in handling and scheduling patients appointments.
  • Understands HIPPA compliance.
Salary Compensation: $15.50- $17.

Your responsibility will be to:
  • Middletown Medical works with the patient's first responsibility.
  • Greet the patient with a smile and understand and attend what he needs for his doctor's appointment.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Work in standing and sitting conditions for extended periods.
  • Update patient records as needed and advised.
  • Assist with checking in and checking out patients-follow up appointments.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Ensure the completion of all necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance with an accuracy.
  • Schedule appointments in the Electronic Medical Records system (ECW experience a plus).
  • Collecting copays and other monies.
  • Liaising with patients, providers, and patient’s family members in a compassionate and kind manner.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of additional appointments, follow ups, testing, and making doctors notes as needed.
  • Verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations for any testing and referrals to specialty physicians.
  • Answer patient questions completely and effectively and, if needed.
  • Assist clinical staff with other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

DRESS CODE FOR INTERVIEW: Business Casual (Mandatory)

Special Attraction: Scale your skills to a new level. All receptionists get training as a Front Desk Receptionist.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Education:
  • High school or equivalent (Required).

Job Requirements:
  • Experience as Medical Receptionist (Preferred).
