Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our multi-location practice. You will travel between Commerce, CA and Novi to greet patients, collect information, and support front-d desk operations.

You will handle multi-line calls, scheduling, data entry into EHR, insurance details, and balances, while maintaining a welcoming, professional environment and collaborating with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Experience with medical terminology is a plus.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Answering multi-line phones
• Greeting patients and vendors
• Signing patients in and out, obtaining insurance information and any other necessary data
• Data entry into EHR systems.
• Scheduling appointments on the phone and at checkout desks
• Collecting outstanding balances and copays
• Providing patients with support and guidance as needed
• Maintaining safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.

Summary

Medical Receptionists directly interact with patients collecting and providing information concerning the patients’ medical care. Receptionists also work closely with other staff to ensure effective communication.
