Job summary

The Carle BroMenn Cath Lab in Urbana, IL is hiring a Radiologic Technologist who performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, electrophysiology, and related imaging tasks. You will assist interventionalists, monitor physiologic data, and maintain sterile technique across varied shifts.

ARRT Radiography registration and Illinois licensure are required; on-call duties and a focus on quality imaging are expected. Carle Health offers comprehensive benefits and a culture of growth.

Qualifications

• Registered in Radiography (ARRT) and IL licensure required.
• Ability to administer contrast material under physician orders; venipuncture and IV placement.
• Demonstrates competence with imaging, monitoring equipment, and sterile field.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician during interventional procedures in the Cath Lab.
• Operate imaging and monitoring equipment; ensure accuracy of documentation.
• Provide technical hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation as needed.
• On-call duties and variable shifts to meet department needs.

The Carle BroMenn Cath Lab performs many exciting and innovative procedures including but not limited to: diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, electrophysiology, peripheral vascular, neuro interventional, and interventional radiology procedures. The Cath/IR RT produces quality imaging and assists the Interventionalist in performing invasive procedures; as well as technical hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation using automated techniques. Registered in Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA), Education: Radiologic Technology, Work Experience:
Administers contrast material (when applicable), according to physician's request, by means of existing IV line or by performing venipuncture and placing IV line; Assists with inventory/supplies. Compiles pertinent clinical information pertaining to lab, pathology, etc. Documents accurately and completely. Performs all essential functions of the Invasive Lab Radiologic Technologist. Performs on call duties and/or work variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs. Demonstrates competence in the operation of imaging, physiological monitoring and related equipment; Performs basic troubleshooting for this equipment.
