Job summary

IRP Medical in San Clemente, CA is seeking a QC Inspector 1 (1st Shift) to verify product conformance by visual and dimensional inspection, using 100% or AQL sampling and testing per specifications. Responsibilities include reading drawings and work orders, recording results, ensuring GMP/GDP compliance, and supporting secondary operations, labeling, and documentation for product release.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Understanding the importance of product conformity, GMPs/GDPs
• Ability to read/write/speak in English, Spanish is a plus
• Understand importance of product identification and traceability, such as production lot number and material batch number
• Organized, neat and meticulous
• Able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently, as well as multi-tasking
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math skills
• Perform other duties, as required
• Previous inspection experience is preferred
• Minimum of High School level of education is required
• Ability to handle moderate lifting, no greater than 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Inspect product for visual defects using unaided eye or magnification
• Inspect product for dimensional specs with measurement equipment/vision systems
• Read/understand part drawings and work orders
• Understand work instructions and secondary operations like trimming and labeling
• Report and document inspection results
• Review documents (work orders, certificates, labels) for GMP/GDP compliance
